Our Story

Surviving Hurricane Katrina, along with earthquakes, wildfires, and pandemics, has taught family and professional caregivers invaluable lessons. We are committed to not repeating past mistakes.

Our decision to partner with the Fire Department, Police, and community organization emergency disaster programs is pivotal in creating a comprehensive plan that supports all stakeholders involved in emergency response. By integrating training for direct caregivers with the resources and expertise of these agencies, we can develop a robust framework that enhances the effectiveness of emergency protocols. This collaboration ensures that caregivers are not only equipped with the necessary skills to provide immediate care but also understand the broader emergency response landscape. John Booker, founding president of the Antelope Valley Self Improvement Resource Center, and a professional caregiver with over 30 years of service in every discipline of direct care services, has been pivotal in strengthening community support systems.
